Results
Provisional results, winsplits, British Orienteering results and Routegadget links all now added. Any queries to petergorvett via hotmail.co.uk.
23:20 Our problem with missing results has been resolved and results, winsplits and British Orienteering have been updated. We're not sure if here is any way of updating Routegadget without losing results, so I've loaded splits to Splitsbrowser directly ("Other" above) in the interim Sorry.
Tuesday: One more missing result (on black) restored, so results, winsplits and British Orienteering have again been updated

Venue
Hugset Wood, not far from junction 37 on the M1, is a small wood full of bell-pits and other evidence of mining activity. It is very similar to Tankersley Wood nearby, which is arguably technically the best of SYO's areas.
The wood offers a fast and challenging race on old mining terrain in mainly gently-sloping runnable mature woodland. It contains over 80 bell pits, some of whose spoil mounds are over 25m in diameter. There are also over 200 other pits and depressions as well as many other brown features in an area less that 1sq km. The pits vary in size with the largest 5 being up to 15m diameter and 5m deep.
