The recent Northern Orienteering Championships at Arncliffe Wood produced some excellent results for SYO juniors. Trophy winners were: Louise Adams, W10; Michael Adams, M14 and Adam Bradbury M18. Also Aiden Smith got third, and Simon Bradbury 4th, just missed out by 2 minutes on M14.

Several SYO members have made the trip down to Faro in Portugal for the 2008 Portugal O Meet.

Oli Johnson won the M21E class over the four days beating many top Scandinavians including most of the Norwegian team. Mike Sprot, Rob Baker, Neil Northrop, Clare Leventon and Laura Daniel have also taken several notable scalps during 4 days of top quality competition.

There were 114 runners in the M21E class. In the non-elite classes SYO have 3 other podium results overall. Full results available POM results
