With some juniors away due to other commitments we only just had enough to make a full team of 9. Despite that, some good performances led us to second place, just 5 points behind Airienteers, including first place positions for Cari Littler, Louise Adams, Katherine Hall and Aiden Sahni. For the first time in a long time (ever?) SYO had enough juniors available to enter a team for the Peter Palmer relays. This is an inter-club competition designed to give relay experience to junior members across a wide age/ability range. 

SYO was represented by Robin Tett, Simon and Adam Bradbury, Aiden Smith, Cari Littler and Katherine Hall. The team put in a good all round performance to finish a frustrating fourth, so just missing out on the medals.

It was also successful week for SYO at the Welsh 6 Days, despite the wet weather.

Simon Bradbury finished 2nd overall in M14A, whilst Nick Barrable secured 2nd place on M21L by seconds. Peter Gorvett finished comfortably in 1st position in M60L with a 10 minute lead overall and Colin Best finished second in M60S. Brian Shaw was 1st overall in M65L and Lucy Wiegand managed 3rd in W35L. For full results see the website.
