Details

The results link above is to an Excel spreadsheet containing full results with the 90-minute score runners scaled to give points per competition hour.  This event format is more frequently used by MDOC, who allow competitors to decide whether to run 60 or 90 minutes while running.  The "optimum" sheet in the Excel workbook switches those who would score better if they had entered the 90 minutes course.

Details of controls visited and tracks are found in the Maprun results:

If you would like to reprint your map because we recycled it (thanks) or it disintegrated in the rain, or you would like to (re) run it later, it is available in Other above.

Join us for a score orienteering event exploring the footpaths surrounding the beautiful Peak District village of Calver. Newcomers welcome.

Course details

You will have 60 or 90 minutes to find as many of the controls as you can in the time allowed. The course uses the MapRun mobile phone/Garmin Watch app. There are no controls out but the app will beep to notify you when you reach the correct point. Alternatively, there is a quiz option with a written questions to answer if you prefer. There is more info on how to use maprun available here.

Score 20 points per control. Lose 10 points per minute late finishing.

The full score map crosses roads so is only suitable for those aged 16 years and above unless accompanied by an adult.  Experienced juniors under 16 years of age can compete on their own or in pairs on the junior score, which does not cross any roads. Those wishing to compete in the junior score should enter the 60 minute score but the map will not include the 5 controls that involve a road crossing.

It's a good idea to download the map to your phone before arriving at the event.
