Kiveton Community Woodland
Description
The former Kiveton Park Coillery site operating from 1864 to 1994 has been transformed into the Kiveton Community Woodland, This woodland is a natural space of remarkable diversity, providing a vast array of habitats including woodland, grassland and wetland. The bird life on this part of the site is particularly impressive, especially in springtime when masses of Skylarks are present This is a lovely site with fantastic views over the surrounding area. Accessible paths make it easy to get around and sculptures by local artists provide interesting features to view. Stunning wildflowers carpet the grassed areas in spring.
There is a mix of woodland and open grassy areas with plenty of paths.
