Safety
U16s MUST be accompanied by an adult on all courses. You will need a head torch and reflective clothing. Please be very careful crossing roads, particularly Crookes Road and cross Crookes road. Crookes Road is shown on the map using the heavier traffic symbol (darker colour than other roads). First Aid will be available at enquiries. Sheffield Northern General (16+), Sheffield Children's (under 16s) are the nearest hospitals for any emergencies. There is also a minor injuries unit open until 8pm for over 16s.
Start / Finish
Starts 5.30-6.45pm. Approx 150m from the pub. Finish outside the pub.
Courses close 7.45pm. Please start early if you think you will take a long time. Please report to the finish at 7.45pm even if you haven't finished your course.
Terrain
Mainly urban with small patches of grass.
Artificial Barriers
The planner has used artificial barriers on the courses to make the area more challenging. They are printed on the map with red "out of bounds" hatching. Although there will be no physical barriers on the roads, please do not pass through the barriers and instead find a different route to the next control. See an example of how they look on the map below:
Volunteers
As usual we need control collectors.. Helpers get a free run. Pick "Helper - free entry" when entering.
Social
There will be a social afterwards. Food must be pre-ordered by Monday 13th January. Order from the main menu on the pub website, here and then
