Details
Come and experience the challenge of night orienteering around the streets of Kelham Island. With a choice of 3 different courses, this race caters to experienced orienteers, runners and newcomers alike and is part of Sheffield's month long Festival of the Outdoors.
Location & Parking
Based at the Fat Cat, Alma St, Kelham Island. Postcode S3 8SA. Registration and start in the garden room of the Fat Cat.

Courses
Courses on offer will be Long (8km) Medium (6km) and Short (2.5km). Distances are optimum route.
The long course is not suitable for beginners. Under 16s can not run long or medium unless accompanied by an adult due to multiple road crossings. The short course crosses minor roads. Those aged 13 - 15 can run the short course unaccompanied but must wear reflective clothing, a headtorch and take extreme care crossing roads. Under 13s must be accompanied by an adult.

Starts from 6.30-7.30. Courses close 8.30pm
Cost
£6 adults (£5 members), £3 juniors / students. Dibber hire free. If you go round as a pair you just pay for 1 entry.
Register in advance
Please enter in advance via the SYO Entry System. Entries open on Sunday 3rd March and close on Sunday 10th March.
Assembly, Start & Finish
Assembly is in the garden of the Fat Cat. Start for the medium & long is 750m walk from the Fat Cat. The start for the short course and the finish are in the car park adjacent to the Fat Cat.
Additional Safety Info
Please take care crossing roads. Juniors welcome but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult on Long or Medium course. You must wear reflective clothing and carry a headlight!
Post event social
Join us for beer and / or food in the Fat Cat post race. There will be veg soup and a cold buffet at £8 per person. Food will need to be pre-ordered via the entry system by Sunday 10th March. Please indicate if veggie / vegan or any other dietary requirements.

Safety & risk
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
