Details

Thank you all for coming today to celebrate the end of another succesfull Schools League.  Thank you to our volunteers today, especially Casper for planning and Colin for controlling. Splits and Results are available on the links above.

This is a Saturday afternoon event celebrating the end of the 22/23 Saturday Series and runs alongside the prize-giving for SFSS schools and Saturday Series leagues.  This series of events is aimed at introducing new people to the sport and also provides local, good value orienteering to the experienced orienteer. Based from outside the cafe in Millhouses park there are a range of different courses to suit all ages and abilities. Take part individually, in a pair or as part of a group and feel free to walk, jog or run round the course at your own pace. The shorter courses stay within the confines of Millhouses Park, while the longer courses also explore Hutcliffe Wood. The map has been newly extended to include Marriot Wood and will be visited by both the green and blue courses.

There are also medals for the 1st 3 in each class and prizes for the winning year group teams. There will also be certificates and chocolates for the top 3 schools in the primary & secondary categories and trophies for the winning schools.

What to wear

Participants on light green, green and blue are advised to wear full leg cover due to undergrowth in the woodlands. There are also some steep slopes so studded shoes (but not dobs) are recommended.
