Details
Hope you all enjoyed the orienteering this evening, I loved the white woodland! Thank you to all our volunteers but especially Colin for planning and Jacky for doing a long shift setting up, manning enquiries and packing up.
Results and splits are available on the link above. Sorry for the mix up on controls 54 and 75, we got them switch back but may take out the first leg for those affected.
Celebrate World Orienteering Day at the Wincobank Iron Age Hill Fort and surrounding ancient woodland. The woodlands contain interesting contour detail as a result of the area's rich industrial heritage and will provide a good challenge for experienced orienteers. There are also plenty of paths and open areas to cater for the less experienced and there are stunning views across the Don valley to enjoy! Newcomers are welcome. Please remember to enter this event in advance.

Venue
Wincobank is a surprisingly intricate and varied area. Be prepared for highly runnable open woodland, a lot of large and small pits and other groundworks remains, open areas, plenty of contours but some patches of difficult vegetation. The map was drawn in 2010 by Oli Johnson.
