Terrain
These ancient woodlands are split by the A57 and A630 into 3 parts joined by footbridges. The
runnable deciduous woods have a variety of trees dominated by Oak and Beech and are crossed by
several streams & small valleys providing contour detail. It also has several rough open areas. There
is a good track and path network including part of the Trans-Pennine Trail. Our thanks go to Sheffield
City council and the Sheffield Wildlife trust for the use of this area. Dogs are allowed and must be
always on a lead while you are taking part in the event.

make a U turn. After 100m turn left into Davys Sporting Club. (Entrance is easy to miss, so slow
down) Prince of Wales Rd is a dual carriageway, entry only possible from the direction of Darnall. Exit
will be the opposite way towards the Sheffield Parkway.
Parking

roads closer to the start.
Timings

6.30pm to give yourself plenty of time, unless you think you'll be at the top of the results.

Venue
Runnable deciduous woodland and a variety of open and semi-open areas. Several stream valleys provide contour detail. It is split into three parts by the Sheffield Parkway and A57, but footbridges mean this doesn't have a negative impact on course planning. Map resurveyed and updated to ISOM 2017-2 by Ian Cooper in 2019.
