Details
A brilliant turnout today, no doubt helped by the good weather and beautiful location. 441 runs, 170 hours out on the course, over 8000 controls punched and 800km run (and over 200 on the white course!).
Quite a few miss-punches today, not surprising given the number of controls with many quite close together. For those that did mis-punch I hope you still enjoyed your run, plenty of chances still to score points in the league. Just try to make sure you check the control code on the box matches the one in the decriptions.
As ever thank you to all our helpers, especially Ella Baxter for planning and Colin Best for controlling. (Ella is another of our juniors who ran for England recently at the Junior Home Internationals). Thank you also to the staff at the gardens for being so accomodating.
Provisional results are on the links above along with splits. The individual school results are on the 'Other' link. Team results are below.

The easiest course and a great place for children to start. The course is entirely on paths and each time you have to make a decision - which path to take, there will be a control point. This course stays within the Gardens – competitors must not exit it through any gate whilst on their course. Parents: please ensure your children understand this. |
Yellow | Y6,7 | 1.2km | 45m | 2 |
The next step up and a good place for teenagers to start. The course will use paths but also other line features - Fences, streams etc. This course stays within the Gardens – competitors must not exit it through any gate whilst on their course. Parents: please ensure your children understand this. |
Orange | Y8,9 | 2.2km | 60m | 3 |
Harder still, the Orange course introduces:
This course is split into 2 parts with part 1 printed on one side, when you get to the last control you turn over to part 2 This course stays within the Gardens – competitors must not exit it through any gate whilst on their course. Parents: please ensure your children understand this. |
