Addtional Safety Info
Courses explore the paths and fields around Hathersage. All courses will pass along a gravel track, which leads to a couple of houses. Please be aware that you may encounter a vehicle. Please step to the side and allow it to pass. Green and Blue courses cross 2 busy roads. Please be vigilant when crossing.
Hathersage is a busy village. You will come across cyclists, dog walkers, hikers, visitors and residents. Please be super courteous to anyone you come across so we don't jeopardise future use of the area.
Offers of help
We require a couple of people to help on the start (either late or early shift) and some control collectors. Helpers get a free run. Pick helper - free run when entering and email Pauline.

Venue
The village of Hathersage and some surrounding countryside. It was mapped in 2010 and had not been used for an orienteeriing event before March 2011. The terrain is a mixture of pavement, road, track, grassy slopes, parkland, and (muddy) paths. Your footwear will be challenged, but there are no brambles or bracken.
