Well what a lovely way to start up orienteering again! Lovely evening, great score course planned by Beverley. Great assembly area thanks to the Church and as ever Jacky and Pauline for organising. How many time did you run the maths through your head whilst running round trying to figure out if it was worth breaking the odd or even sequence?
Results available on the link above, we're getting close to the point where we will have live results on the website...
Next up will be a night race at Treeton on Tuesday evening planned and organised by new member Mathew Pickering. following that will be a chance on the 11th to run at Tankersley (entries close on Sunday).

Start
View the Start List. Starts 5pm to 6.30pm. You should select your start block when you enter. Please stick to your start block. There are 2 separate starts operating adjacent to each other, sharing the same start triangle. It doesn't matter which start you use - just choose the shortest queue. Courses close 7.40pm promptly.
To complete your entry you will need to agree to "abide by the Participant Code of Conduct". This can be found here.
Courses & Scoring
The aim in a score event is to find as many controls as you can in the time allowed, earning 10 points for each control visited. If you are late back you lose points. There are 2 score options:
Long Score - 60 minutes. Penalty for lateness 10 points per minute late.
Short Score - 45 minutes - Remains north of Fulwood Rd. Penalty for lateness 5 points per minute late.
On both courses earn a bonus of 10 pts for each consecutive odd or even control visited.
For example 31 - 35 - 47 - 22 - 43 - 56 - 44 would score 10 + 20 + 20 + 10 + 10 + 10 + 20 = 100
Only your first visit to a control counts.
