Sorry things didn't all run as smoothly as we would have liked (we had some last minute personnel changes so thanks very much to  Lucy, Jacky & Peter for stepping in last minute). Well done to those that completed their first night event - the next one is on Sat 2nd November at Loxley.

A dusk event suitable for all overlooking Redmires Reservoir. The area of intricate contours in the open moorland combined with wonderful runnable woodland offer an interesting challenge to experienced orienteers whilst the clear paths cater to beginners and younger juniors.

Venue

Redmires Woods are the woodlands west of the three Redmires reservoirs.    Most of the map is mature coniferous woodland with minimal undergrowth providing superb running, but at the northern edge it opens out to moorland sheep pasture.  There are few paths.  The area is dotted with quarry /mining workings, some of which provide excellent technical orienteering.
