Come orienteering on this interesting and varied area with lovely views across Treeton Dyke. There are 9 different courses available catering for everyone from young children and newcomers to runners and experienced orienteers. There is no need to pre-enter - just turn up on the day.

Treeton and Hail Mary Woods, off B6067 Wood Lane, Treeton. Nearest postcode: S60 5QN, GR: SK439874, Lat/long: N53.382077, W1.340741. Registration etc will be at the water sports clubhouse.
Terrain
The area consists of two areas of mostly runnable sloping woodland with interesting contour detail, which provide a good contrast with the largely open gently contoured area of complex vegetation on the other side of Treeton Dyke lake.

White 1.8km, 45m climb - technically very easy, suitable for young children
Yellow. 2.5km, 65m - technically easy, a good place for teenagers to start
Orange. 3.1km, 90m - medium difficulty, ideal for adult newcomers
Long orange. 4.9km, 75m - medium difficulty, ideal for newcomer runners
Light green. 3.6km, 20m - medium / hard difficulty, ideal for improvers
Short green. 3.0km, 95m - technically hard, less physical than the other hard technical courses
Green. 4.5km,160m - technically & physically hard
Blue. 6.1km, 210m - technically & physically hard
Short brown. 7.1km, 240m - technically & physically hard

Venue
Two areas of mostly runnable sloping woodland linked by 100m of path. A good contrast is provided by a largely open gently contoured area on the other side of Treeton Dyke lake that was added to the map in 2008 by Tim Tett.
