Details

I hope you enjoyed the event this evening, it looked pretty hot work out there.  Hopefully it gave all those going down to the British Sprints in a couple of weeks a bit of practice.  Thanks to Euan for planning his first event I hope you enjoyed his courses, the job wasn't made easy by lots of building work popping up throughout the summer, including some on Monday... Thanks also to Pete & Jill Gorvett for helping and to everyone who collected controls.  A final thanks to the Pieters for hosting the social!

Results are available above.  Apologies to those on the long course that were affected by the out of bounds printing on the main road to the south of control 13, this should have been removed to make it clear that you could go on the pavement. If you didn't realise that you could go along the pavement it made the routechoice very obvious and I imagine a bit boring...  Just to see how it affected things the results we have shown Long course results with and without the legs to and from control 13 removed.

Description

Enjoy sprint / urban orienteering around the The Edge student village and surrounding residential area. The mix of older Victorian buildings, modern accommodation blocks, landscaped gardens and complex walls and pathways will offer a good level of challenge for experienced orienteers. The area is also very suitable for newcomers and younger juniors.

Venue

The Edge is  the main campus in Endcliffe Student Village; it is typical University Campus with a mixture of older buildings and modern accomodation blocks dotted around a grassy sloping site which also includes steps and water.  The map also covers some other areas in the village east of the campus, which are mostly older buildings with interlinked gardens and wider grounds.
