Results, Splits ('Other'), & Routegadget (maps) uploaded 21:50 Wednesday.

We had a fantastic turnout this evening, with 105 runs, that exceeded our expectations for what was just a local sprint event. Apologies that we had to recycle maps - they are available on routegadget (see above link) if you would like a copy of your course.

We hope everyone enjoyed the courses, finding them a good navigational challenge, and good practice for the fast-thinking required for the sprints in a few weeks. Courses were planned similar to the British Champs courses, with winning times of around 15 - 20mins, which was achieved on all courses apart from the Young Junior.

Some of the later starters had the additional challenge of fading light to contend with, proving that the 19:45 courses close time was needed, unless it was to turn into Night Sprint-O (apart from for the control collectors!)

--------

See if you can manage the rapid decision-making needed for a sprint course or sharpen up your skills in preparation for the British Sprint Champs on 30th September.

Courses will be planned with the British Sprints in mind, with similar distances and estimated winning times, and an area not disimilar to Campbell Park and Springfield, all aimed to give you THE EDGE on competition day!

The classes are in-line with the approximate course distance for this years British Sprints. They are only there as a guide - by all means run a different course to suit your training.

Under 16s are unable to cross with 'significant traffic'. The Young Junior and Juniors courses stay within the Edge Campus site itself, crossing only the very minor roadways within the site, which only have the occasional delivery van on them. The other courses cross both Endcliffe Cresent and Oakholme road, and therefore U16s must be accompanied by an adult on these courses.

Venue

The Edge is  the main campus in Endcliffe Student Village; it is typical University Campus with a mixture of older buildings and modern accomodation blocks dotted around a grassy sloping site which also includes steps and water.  The map also covers some other areas in the village east of the campus, which are mostly older buildings with interlinked gardens and wider grounds.
