If you would like to attend you must email Pauline Tryner so that we have enough coaches available and know what resources to prepare. -
The sessions will start at 1.30pm promptly. Please arrive by 1.20pm so we can get started by 1.30pm. Group 1 will finish at 2.30pm, all other groups at 3pm. Please note this time is half an hour later than normal to allow the Spook Relay participants to clear the car park! Parents who wish to accompany their children on the activities are encouraged or alternatively are very welcome to join the adult's group and have a go themselves. All participants should wear full leg cover and sturdy footwear. Please also remember to bring a water bottle.
Cost will be £3 per session to non-members, free to club members.
Levels
Group 1 (TD1/2) suitable for children age 7 upwards, who are beginning orienteering. (younger children who are club members and are accompanied by an adult are also welcome)
Group 2 (TD3) suitable for children who confidently run yellow courses independently on all areas.
Group 3 (TD4) suitable for children who confidently run orange courses independently on all areas.
Group 4 (TD3+) suitable for all adults. A range of exercises will be planned to cater for beginners to experienced orienteers.
Safety & risk
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.

Venue
Loxley Common comprises of large areas of open common land, runnable underfoot with a complex network of paths on grass, heather and bracken common. To the south there is an area of woodland, with a small section very bouldery. There is some intricate contour detail created by old mine/quarry workings..
The area was used for the Senior Home International relays in 2006 with a resurvey by Oli Johnson; minor updates have been undertaken in 2010 and 2012.
