A small select set of competitors made it to Dronfield.  Arun's course was enjoyed by all and the general feeling was that although the simply-generated OpenOrienteering Map had one or two minor deficiencies, it was enough to have an evening event like this.

Results

This will be a score event (get as many points as possible in a fixed time) on a simplified street map.  (Using OpenOrienteeringMap for those technically minded).

The event will be based at the Miners Arms pub at 115 Carr Lane in Dronfield Woodhouse (post code S18 8XF).  We can use their car park (about 20 cars with overspill on the road in front of pub)

There is a choice of 45 or 60 minute mass-start score events, which requires you to record numbers on an answer sheet. A torch or headtorch is required as some of the paths are unlit, but most of the controls will require one digit copying from a lamppost, so will not require hunting (assuming they are all working).  Please arrive by 6.30pm to register. The mass start is at 6:45. Under 16s have to be accompanied by an over 18.

There will be food / drinks in the pub afterwards; all are welcome after the event, whether you've run or not.
