Now in its 4th year!
A series of running races with a dash of navigation designed to keep you on your toes and bring a bit of interest to those dreary winter nights. All races start at approx 7pm – see final details on Facebook page nearer the time. The series of 6 events comprises:
1 Wed 29th Oct The Great Urban Fell Race (night version) – visit Sheffield’s only 2014 Iron Age Hill Fort. Followed by an autumn BBQ
2 Tue 18th Nov The Springvale Spiral-incorporating Sheffield’s steepest road 2014 Followed by Fish and Chips
3 Thur 18th Dec The 7 Hills of Sheffield – whatever the Roman’s can do... 2014 Followed by a Rajput Curry
4 Tue 13th Jan The North Stand – visit the oldest football ground in the World. 2015 Followed by Pizza
5 Wed 18th Feb The Tipsy Sportsman – up to 7 pubs in 100mins. Earn points at 2015 each and get extra points for pints. Followed by a curry
6 Thur 12th Mar The Kelham Island street orienteering race – followed by Beer and Pub Food in Sheffield’s original Real Ale pub ‘The Fat Cat’
Each event will have a social element, e.g. BBQ, Pub afterwards, Curry House. Maps will be provided if you need them hence pre-entry is advisable to
– 68 Roebuck Road, Sheffield, S6 3GQ -maps cost 50p. Event 6 will start and finish at the Kelham Island car park at the back of the Fat Cat on Alma Street – entry fee £3. All events need road shoes – with grip on for race 1.
Safety & risk
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
