Results and splitsbroiwser now up. Sorry results were delayed as I stupidly parted with the computer before capturing the event data. PG 10/8/13
A couple of blocks of plantation at Rednires have been felled, but there is still plenty of runnable woodland with minimal summer vegetation as well as the complex area in the open. The stumps in one of the felled areas have been bull-dozed into lines (stumpbanks). These have been added to the map , creating some new navigation challenges used on the longer courses.

Terrain: All courses have about a kilometre through open fell before heading through open with groves of trees into mostly runnable woodland

A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. Venue
Redmires Woods are the woodlands west of the three Redmires reservoirs. Most of the map is mature coniferous woodland with minimal undergrowth providing superb running, but at the northern edge it opens out to moorland sheep pasture. There are few paths. The area is dotted with quarry /mining workings, some of which provide excellent technical orienteering.
