Thanks for coming to Hathersage and enjoying the lovely Hope Valley setting in excellent March weather. All I spoke to enjoyed it (even the uphill final legs) and Bill Hanley and I did too. Brookfield Manor grounds was perfect for the white course. Looking at the course times we only lost a few people to the on-course attractions of the Hathersage tearooms!! Just a few comments:-

1. this was my first urban event to map or control and it's a real learning experience. What to show, and how to show, in and out of bounds is a challenge unless the map becomes overburdened with purple lines. Residents do not relish their peaceful haven being disturbed.
2. we should have stated in the final details that some residents had given permission for use of their front gardens so controls might be placed in a limited number of gardens - apologies for that.
3. if details say streams may only be crossed at bridges, and walls/fences that are forbidden to cross are shown on the map, please don't cross them - permission for future events can be jeopardised.
4. SYO now has a new printer that it is trialling for Level C/D events, including this event. We still need to make improvements in the quality of our printing.
5. I was mapper, controller and printer - that resulted in conflicts which impacted my contribution to the event. Just a warning to others!
