Details
Results, Winsplits (Splits analysis), Splitsbrowser (Other) and RouteGadget are now up. Ranking points are now OK for all courses. Yorkshire Urban League scores have also been calculated and can be seen here: http://www.oxfordfusion.com/NopeUL/index.cfm?Org=6
The event was a great success. The new amphitheatre made a great arena for the event and the Park Hill complex and excellent map and planning meant the courses were as challenging as the best urban orienteering. Even the scenery was excellent, surprising even long term SYO members with views and crocuses in the Cholera Monument Park and the vibrancy of Victoria Quays with its narrow boats and cafes. (Peter Gorvett - controller)
This event was part of the Yorkshire Urban League. The following courses will be used:: Long (Men's Open, Women's Open, Men's Vet), Medium (Women's Vet, Men's Supervet, Men's Ultravet) and Short (Junior Men, Junior Women, Supervet Women and Ultravet Women). Details about the Urban league can be found here: http://www.aire.org.uk/YUL/YHOA%20Yorkshire%20Urban%20League%202012.htm
The Sheffield Adventure Film Festival took place over the whole of this weekend. See http://www.shaff.co.uk/
Safety & risk
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If a competitor has a pre-existing medical condition that they think should be declared, please complete a medical form at enquiries. The sealed envelope will only be opened in an emergency.
