It was a fabulous win for SYO yesterday at the 40th Compass Sport Cup final at Holcombe Ranges with all round fabulous performances from the team.

The sunny post race photos hide the horrendous conditions experienced by most runners. Driving rain, clag and precipitous muddy slopes made navigation tricky and the terrain very physical and meant just completing the course was a significant achievement!

Forth Valley Orienteers brought a strong team and put in a stirling effort but some key results swung the overall result in our favour. Particular congratulations to our 5 course winners - Hannah Chapman, Freya Tryner, Nick Barrable, Charlie Adams and Euan Tryner.

Well done also to our other counters: Kim, Cat, Jonny, Sophie, Freddie, Jenny J, Brian, Oli, Pete, Chloe, Andy, Jemma, Martin, Lawrence, Anna, Amanda, Lucy, Ella, Pauline and Joe T.

Dylan Jenkinson retained his golden boot trophy with a run in time of 25 seconds - a fabulous achievement!
