Clifton Park Local Event - 26 May 2002

The day dawned dry but the event was run from a tent -'just incase'. The first runners got off to a cloudy start and it was not long before the rain came down. Many people, large and small, were drenched upon their return but no-one's enthusiasm was dampened. The results show some remarkable achievements for first-time orienteers. Well done everyone!

SYO would like to thank you all for coming along today; we hope you found the courses fun and we look forward to welcoming you at future events. Keep an eye on the SYO website for more orienteering over the summer, and if you have enjoyed yourselves then please bring your friends next time!

Any school teachers who would like to learn more about teaching orienteering may be interested in attending a one day BOF Teacher/Leader Orienteering Course run by a qualified British Orienteering Coach. The next local course takes place at Wales High School on 3rd.July 2002.
