SYO Adult Coaching Weekend - expressions of interest!

SYO Adult Coaching Weekend based at Elterwater Hostel from 28th to 30th March 2025.

Dear members

SYO are planning on providing an opportunity for adult (18 plus) orienteers to train in high quality terrain. It will be based at Elterwater Hostel, which we would have exclusive use of and the Saturday evening meal will be provided. It is the same weekend as the YHOA squad weekend and will mostly use the same terrain for training but staying in different accommodation. We plan to attend the LOC event at Great Tower on Sunday as part of the training with a debrief after.  This weekend will be aimed at those able to run a TD4 (light green) course or above. In addition to orienteering there will be an opportunity to socialise with other club members.

Please note, for those with juniors attending the YHJS weekend, that does not start to the Saturday whereas the adult weekend will start on the Friday.

At this stage we are looking for expressions of interest so we can confirm that the weekend is viable and confirm the booking.  Please email Bronwen asap.
