SYO Club Champs, AGM & Prize-giving - Sat 14 Dec 2024
INVITATION: To all SYO Club Members (plus friends and family)
The annual SYO fun orienteering event and club champs is on Saturday 14th December at Holmesfield Woods followed by lunch, AGM and awards. It is all very informal and a great opportunity to socialise and recognise those who have contributed to the club through volunteering and orienteering talent.
Holmesfield Woods is a new area mapped by Colin Smith. This year there will be a mass start (at 11am) odds and even score, plus a yellow course for younger juniors, so there is something suitable for everyone. Final results will be calculated using Pete Gorvett's special handicapping system so whoever wins is always a bit of a lottery!
After the race, we will gather at Abbeydale Sports Club for lunch from 12.30pm. Lunch will be followed by a very brief AGM and the annual awards ceremony. Links to the AGM notice, minutes from 2023 and the 2023 accounts are below:
You can just attend the orienteering, the lunch or the AGM / awards or any combination of the above. If you haven't been before we would really like to encourage you to come along....
We would like to thank Paul Bradbury for the fantastic job he has done serving as chair over the past 2 years. If you would like to stand as chair, please contact Pauline. All other members of the committee are willing to continue in their posts.
