SYO are hosting the Northern Orienteering Championships at Burbage on Sunday 26th February. More details here.

Burbage is an excellent orienteering area offering a good level of physical and technical challenge to experienced orienteers. Alongside the championship courses there are courses suitable for newcomers and families. If you haven't been to a major event before, this is a great chance right on your doorstep.

Trophies will be presented to the leading competitor from the north (NWOA / NEOA / YHOA)   There are also prizes for the first 3 in the junior A / Elite classes and for winners of the adult long classes (elite M/W21).

Enter in advance on Fabian4 by Sunday 19th February to receive a £2 discount on your entry fee. Entries will remain open up until 24th February subject to map availability.

As this is a prestigious event, we require lots of helpers. The more people that help, the shorter the helping shift. Please make our organiser's job easier by volunteering early. Helpers receive a 50% discount on their run. Please enter using discount code SYOHELPER. If you are willing to help but don't want to run, you can pass on the discounted run to a family helper. Email Steve Dempsey with offers of help and any special requests as soon as possible.
